Basically, on the Hybrid configuration of Office 365 with Exchange server, we need to take consideration of Certificate change too. If we are using office 365 connector with TLS configuration, it will make an impact of email delivery to the Office 365 users and to the users outside the organization. So, here we will be discussing on how we can change the certificate of Office 365 Connector once we renew the certificate for Exchange Server.
So, if we have already renewed the exchange certificate. We need to find the thumbprint of new certificate. To get the thumbprint of new certificate, we can simply use below cmdlet on Exchange PowerShell (EMS).
Once, this is done copy the thumbprint of new certificate and run the below cmdlet.
$Cert = Get-ExchangeCertificate -Thumbprint <New Exchange Certificate>
$TLSCert = ('<I>'+$cert.issuer+'<S>'+$cert.subject)
Set-SendConnector -Identity <Office 365 send Connector> -TLSCertificateName $TLSCert
This cmdlet will help you to replace the certificate of Office 365 connector on exchange server.
