Note:-Please backup your registry before proceeding….
I’d been running XP in a 60 days trial(It’s been about 1 week). Now, I have the key through ELMS. But these days, the window doesn’t prompt to register, don’t know why. I think I need to follow this step to get my XP registered. You say back-up your registry. Is it from start > all programs > accessories > system tools > backup ?
Samant,
Backup your registry means make a backup copy of your regedit.Here the process is
start->Run->regedit
once you open you regedit
click on file->Export
then save a file on your hardisk….this is your backup copy of regedit.
if something worng goes then just double click on your that backup regedit it will recover at a instant.
Thank you
