There are some hidden applet in the windows 7 and Windows Vista that are default hidden….don’t know why…but some of them are really useful the beginner and expert too. so Here I am providing the tutorial how to access these hidden applet of control panel.

1. Get to RUN—> type REGEDIT and press Return…….(Ctrl+R gives the run window)
2. Now go the this branch of the regedit…..HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Panel\don’t load
3. Here the Snapshot of that portion of the Window….just click on the don’t load and see the control panel entries on the ride-side of the pane. 
   
4. Simple deleting the ‘don’t load’ key will revile all the hidden apps….but there are some apps that already exists on the control panel….and that might be appear double in your control panel…so I suggest you to try with deleting those apps those are not in your control panel. like

Those were the steps for reveling the hidden apps of control panel in Windows 7 and Windows Vista.it is easily adopted on the Windows vista….but in case of the Windows 7 you have to take a permission as security is upgraded then of vista….you can’t work on this key unless you get permission. Here is the procedure how to get the permission.

• Right-click on the “don’t load” key and select “Permissions…“. 
  
• It’ll open a dialog box, Click on “Advanced” button. 
  
• It’ll open another dialog box, Go to “Owner” tab. 
  
• Select your Username from the list and click on “Apply” button and then OK.
• Again click on OK button in the first dialog box.
• Now again right-click on the same key and select “Permissions…“.
• Select your Username in the list and check the “Allow” option for “Full Control“.
• Click on Apply button and then OK.

  Here the new Control Panel you see after your edit. Redmark shows the new apps that has been added

NOTE:- Please make the backup of Registry whenever you make tweak on it.

1. Due to disable in you UAC.

To fix it just simply go to your control panel in USER ACCOUNTS and enable the UAC.

note:- Never late your machine UAC disable…..it create a security hole. if someone suggest to disable UAC then it would be the most worst idea anyone can suggest you.

2. Feature of Gadget might be off.

To fix it go to control panel —> Program and Features

on the right of this window you can see the ‘Turn windows feature on or off’ click on it…and wait for while….it will take some time to load the contents….scroll down in this window you can see the ‘Windows Gadget Platform’ just make a check mark on it.viola…. now you can play with your gadget.

• Domain and Forest: The structure of AD DS allows it to be used throughout the entire forest. An instance of Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) is a single running copy of AD LDS. Multiple copies of AD LDS can run simultaneously on the same computer. This is not true for AD DS, the full service. This improves availability and load balancing when instances are replicated across multiple servers. Multiple instances of AD LDS have their own separate directory, as well as a unique service name, and a unique service description that is assigned when the instance is created. Duplication or conflicts are avoided this way.

As the most of the operation now a days employ remote system service. To avoid the applicaiton conflicts, a significant amout of testing must occur which can determine what application will create the collision and must be seperated from the run on different session host servers.

When they install Windows 7 on the Computer, a black screen does appear during the installation process. that’s the problem…..but the installation under goes inside the black screen. and at this situation, you may not be able to complete installation.

Here some list of AMD/ATI Radeon GPU’s that are affected by this issues mentioned above.

Also looking at the solution for this problem….i have found the solution…., this is basically for the advanced users involving the AutoUnattend.xml answer file and the latest graphics driver and a USB flash drive. Copy the uncompressed graphics driver on the USB flash drive. To do this, follow these steps:

Download the latest driver for your graphics adapter from the AMD Web site. Run the downloaded program (.exe) to extract the driver. The program will prompt for an installation location, such as c:\ati\support\. After the extraction is complete, locate the installation folder that is noted in the previous step. Copy the installation folder onto the USB flash drive.

Users will also need to create the AutoUnattend.xml answer file, by opening a Notepad file and copy the text highlighted in blue color below. This file has to be saved as AutoUnattend.xml using the UTF-8 encoding format, and then i needs to be copied to the root of the USB. Now From the Windows 7 installation DVD, start the computer that has the AMD Radeon GPU that uses eDP.Immediately connect the USB flash drive after the computer starts from DVD. Follow the instructions to complete the installation process. When the system restarts for the first time, disconnect the USB flash drive.

Here is the text for the AutoUnattend.xml answer file just copy, Paste and save the file as mentioned above.

I had almost forgotten that we have used the animated picture as our background wallpaper in Windows Vista. Some Few Days ago one of my friend make me remind of this….and then I started to search over it for Windows 7 also, so i can use on it also………and then i found the application name DreamScene

Windows DreamScene, a feature which allows a video clip, movie show, slideshow or animated image and picture to be set as the desktop background in Windows Vista has been removed in Windows 7, in favor of Desktop Slideshow wallpaper auto rotator.

 

How to Install DreamScene in Windows 7

Run the Windows7-DreamScene.exe as Administrator to install and enable Windows DreamScene on Windows 7. The installer will copy DreamScene.dll to %WinDir%\System32 folder, DreamScene.dll.mui to %WinDir%\System32\en-US folder and add the required registry keys and values. Then it will automatically restart the Explorer to make the installation of DreamScene works immediately.

A Windows DreamScene folder has also been created in %WinDir%\Web\ folder. You can place any video file that you want to set as DreamScene background wallpaper here as in Windows Vista, or anywhere you like. However, the folder is less useful as Windows 7 does not support direct viewing of video or animated media in Personalization Control Panel.

 

To apply a video clip (in .WMV or .MPG format) as the DreamScene animated wallpaper desktop background, right click on the video media file, and select Set as Desktop Background in the context menu. Due to DreamScene been stripped from Windows 7 issue, video files may not be visible inside Personalization and Desktop Background configuration page. However, all features of DreamScene, such as Play DreamScene and Pause DreamScene  are supported.

Tip: To run DreamScene in Windows 7, Windows Aero has to be turned on.

Gadget are nothing moreover than a little but powerful handy tool. you might get surprised when you know how easy they are to create. In fact, if you know HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you’re well on your way.

 

In short if I have to say what is Gadget, then  simply I say it is made of nothing more than of a HTML and XML defination files. There may be some gadgets which include other files like PNG and JPEG for image and also STYLE SHEETS (CSS), and too some scripting languages.All of these are collected in file and that is just ends with name as *.gadget (ie weather.gadget).

 Now to create the gadget you need two things specially they are

1. A “manifest” file named Gadget.xml. This manifest contains all the settings for your gadget, including the gadget name, author and copyright information, and information about the HTML page that makes up the actual gadget.

2. An HTML file (for example, Test.htm). Although they might not look like it, gadgets are really nothing more than HTML files: you simply create an HTML file, add the appropriate tags and script code, and you’ve got yourself a gadget.

 

You may have a Question how can I have these files but don’t worry abt this coz I have got a example of  Manifest file you can just copy and save it in Gadget.XML.Here below is a “manifest” file

Now you need to save this file in name as you type the code file name in manifest file…. Then complie it in a folder and give it a name end with .gadget

And the final part copy your folder of gadget and past it in to a location

The default delay time to preview Desktop is set to 1 second by default but sometimes it gets annoying when you accidentally hover your mouse over it.

Today we are sharing a small registry trick which can be used to adjust this delay time. You can set the delay time to 2,3 or more seconds according to your requirements.

So here I do have a procedure.

1. Type regedit in RUN or Startmenu Searchbox and press Enter. It’ll open Registry Editor.

2. Now go to following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

3. In right-side pane, create a new DWORD value DesktopLivePreviewHoverTime

4. Now you’ll need to set its value to your desired delay time. Double-click on it and select “Base” as Decimal and enter the desired value. Remember the value should be given in milliseconds, so if you want to set the delay time to 4 seconds, set the value to 4000

5. That’s it. Log off or restart your system to take effect.

Tips:- If you want to restore default settings, simply delete “DesktopLivePreviewHoverTime” DWORD value created in Step 3.
